The Commercial & economical virtues of the Lleyn breed of sheep will be highlighted at Whitriggs Farm, Hawick, on Sunday 8 th August at 1 pm when Robert, Lesley, Stuart & Alistair Mitchell will open their farm gate to show how they have changed their sheep enterprise to become easier managed, more economical as well as producing top quality lambs.

The day is organised by The Scottish & Borders Lleyn Breeders Club is open to all that are interested in seeing what the white faced Welsh breed of sheep know as the Lleyn has to offer. On show will be Lleyn sheep and various crosses, trade stands and refreshments. Young Farmers from the area will be holding a stockjudging competition with generous prizes being offered and a charity raffle.

Follow A698 signposted Hawick. In Denholm village turn left at end of Main Street , past war memorial. Follow road for 2 miles.
From South A68
At Carter Bar left onto A6088 signposted Hawick. Follow road through Bonchester Bridge making for Hawick. After a further 2 miles turn right at signpost for Denholm and follow road for 2 miles.
From A7
In Hawick take A698 to Jedburgh/Kelso. Turn right onto A6088 for Bonchester Bridge . After a further 2 miles turn left at Kirkton Farm, signposted Whitriggs.
